The Culture Mile lights up the City with Vibrance

Our client, The Culture Mile BID, launched ‘Vibrance’ last week, a brand new arts festival in collaboration with the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and the City of London Corporation.

This fantastic event, turning the City’s historic landmarks into a canvas with dream-like large-scale projections, operatic performances, classical South Indian dance and more, was broadcast live by BBC London.

The broadcast showcased the artwork across the Culture Mile and included interviews with Dan Shorten, Creative Director at the School, and two young artists, to hear about how they got involved in the festival and the story behind their artwork.

With January, and in particular this January, a difficult month for many, we identified Vibrance as an opportunity to bring some light and community spirit to the news agenda, with the artwork making an eye-catching visual story.

The festival marks the finale of this ‘Voices and Illuminations’ winter programme, which has brightened up the lives of City workers, visitors and Londoners with light, sound and creativity. We have been working with the team to promote the events, securing coverage in City A.M., Londonist, Time Out and Secret London among publications.
