Marylebone Food Festival launches with special collaboration between top London restaurants

Thursday 8th March saw the inaugural Marylebone Food Festival launch in the West End, celebrating one of London’s most exciting and diverse culinary destinations. Opening the Festival was The World on a Plate in Marylebone, a special dining experience in a dramatic gothic church behind Oxford Street – The Church of the Annunciation, Marble Arch.

Over ten of Marylebone’s restaurants and wine bars came together to prepare an exclusive taster menu with flavours from around the world, all paired with a specially curated wine flight, for 108 guests. Preparing a course for the opening event were: Michelin starred Indian restaurant Trishna, local favourites The Providores and Tapa Room and Picture, Seymour Place’s Bernardi’s and Lurra, The Langham’s Roux at The Landau, wine bar and restaurant Clarette, Italian-influenced Blandford Comptoir, cheeseroom La Fromagerie and award-winning chocolatier Rococo Chocolates.

Local wine bars Clarette, Le Vieux Comptoir, Blandford Comptoir, Daylesford and 31 Below served perfectly matched wine pairings to enjoy alongside the dishes. Seymour’s Parlour of The Zetter Townhouse partnered with Marylebone Gin to create an exclusive gin-based cocktail for the guests.

Coverdale Barclay delivered the successful launch event of the inaugural Marylebone Food Festival, on behalf of clients The Howard de Walden Estate and The Portman Estate.
