BBC East Midlands breaks news on Grantham Designer Outlet Village ground-breaking

A major statement on the future of physical retail, and the continued strength of the outlet retail sector, on 17 March 2021 work begun on a new £100m Grantham Designer Outlet Village in the East Midlands. Giles Membrey, Managing Director at Rioja Estates and Cllr Kelham Cooke, Leader of Kesteven Council were interviewed about the major project milestone by BBC East Midlands and featured on the breakfast, lunchtime and evening news. Giles Membrey and Cllr Kelham Cooke were later interviewed by leading local radio outlets, Lincs FM and BBC Radio Lincolnshire, discussing the number of jobs that will be created for the community, as well as how the £100m scheme will benefit the region of Grantham by creating employment opportunities, and attracting new investments and visitors to the local town centre.

News on the start-on-site also appeared in leading B2B media outlets including Property Week, Retail & Leisure International and Commercial News, with prominent messaging on how the development will incorporate the latest trends in retail and society as one of the UK’s first post-pandemic shopping destinations.
