Spotlighting DSQ’s vital role in Destination City

This year marked a major milestone for our client Devonshire Square (DSQ) with the opening of Sir Devonshire Square, the Sircle Collection’s first hotel in the UK.

Following engagement with the City of London Corporation, including a tour of Devonshire Square and briefings around the hotel opening, DSQ featured in a City A.M. op-ed by Tom Sleigh, Chair of the City of London Corporation’s Planning and Transportation Committee.

In the piece, Tom explored how the arrival of Sir Devonshire Square supports the City’s Destination City strategy, which aims to evolve the Square Mile into a place people actively choose to visit, work, live and explore – day and night, weekday and weekend.

Hotels are central to this vision, providing more than just places to stay. Through active ground-floor spaces, cultural programming and inclusive hospitality, they help animate the City beyond traditional working hours and support a more vibrant urban experience.

The op-ed highlighted how Devonshire Square aligns naturally with these ambitions, with its distinctive mix of restaurants and bars, year-round cultural programming, animated public spaces and striking heritage architecture, all contributing to a more dynamic City environment.

This coverage demonstrates the value of collaboration between public and private sector placemakers. By sharing insight, aligning objectives and working together to tell a cohesive story, partners across the City can help elevate the profile of individual destinations while supporting the broader promotion of London as a world-class place to visit and invest in.
