Stakeholder and community engagement for large-scale urban regeneration in South London

This spring we worked with Countryside and MTVH to produce a magazine for the residents of the Clapham Park estate in South West London. The regeneration scheme between Clapham and Brixton, will deliver 2,482 homes, of which 53% will be affordable.  £1m is being deployed for placemaking and community building, to fund initiatives that bring the community together.

In addition to the magazine, we supported on the delivery of an event to keep local residents informed of the latest updates in the 15-year regeneration programme. The event marked the first in a calendar of activity that will take place within the community to keep residents updated on, and engaged with, the plans for their homes and estate.

Establishing an ongoing dialogue with the local community is pivotal to the successful delivery of large-scale regeneration projects such as Clapham Park, to minimise disruption for local people.
