Sugar House Island celebrates 5-year milestones

Our client, Sugar House Island, a mixed-use canal-side neighbourhood in Stratford, East London celebrates several 5-year milestones this year – 2020 saw the completion of its creative quarter Dane’s Yard, the Island’s first resident moving in and renowned art publishers Phaidon relocating their headquarters from King’s Cross.

In the last 5 years, the Island has curated a creative business community, housing organisations such as East London Dance and Sophia Webster, and has cemented itself as a key part of the wider transformation of Stratford into a cultural and innovation hub.

The Island has supported the next generation of talent through its tenants like UD Music, but also through its highly successful recent partnership with charity Hypha Studios to provide free gallery space to local artists.

Now, Sugar House Island is launching a new lounge and events space at Chimney Walk, the newest phase of development, which will provide the Island’s business and education community with a space for corporate events, meetings and conferences.
