Swansea is in the running to be named City of the Year

Swansea has been shortlisted for City of the Year at this year’s EG Awards.

This year has been a monumental one for Swansea, as its new state-of-the-art arena became the UK’s first major new venue to launch in the wake of Covid.

Swansea Council’s ambitious £1billion+ regeneration masterplan is not only transforming the city’s built environment and socioeconomic landscape, it is enabling Swansea to reclaim its architectural and cultural identity, and re-establish a connection to its world-famous coastline.

The continued transformation story underway across Swansea means the city is fast becoming a landmark destination for business and leisure, and a very worthy finalist.
