The Culture Mile lights up the City with its winter events programme

The Culture Mile is in the midst of its winter programme, this year themed ‘Voices and Illuminations’.

Running from November to January, the programme brings together the pillars of light, sound and community in a series of cultural and festive events – from a jazz music festival and creative lunchtime workshops, to an impressive Christmas tree switch-on moment and student-led arts festival.

We are supporting the Culture Mile on communications for the various events, securing a wealth of consumer media coverage, hosting media and delivering a social media campaign.

The events are transforming the City’s outdoor and indoor spaces and lifting spirits during these colder months, encouraging workers to take a break from their desks and connect with others during the working day, reinforcing the Culture Mile’s aim of making creativity part of everyday life.

Accessibility and inclusion remain central to the programme, celebrating a range of cultural activities designed for all ages, as well as bringing arts and culture into shared spaces. The programme also engages young creatives by showcasing their work as part of a new light and sound exhibition, and offering internship opportunities during the events.

This is especially important following Centre for London’s ‘Arts for All’ report earlier this year, which highlighted Londoners’ lack of cultural engagement in their city.
