Thousands enjoy a summer in full force at The Portman Marylebone Summer Street Party

Thousands of visitors flocked to New Quebec Street and Seymour Place to enjoy a summer in full force at The Portman Marylebone Summer Street Party on Thursday 19th July. Organised by Coverdale Barclay on behalf of client The Portman Estate, Marylebone’s bars, restaurants and shops took to the streets and guests from all over London enjoyed live music, street food and energetic activities for all ages.

Seymour Place had a mouth-watering selection of street food, with Lurra cooking its renowned Galacian prime ribs cooked on an alfresco grill. London’s top vegetarian restaurant, The Gate, prepared a selection of sweet and savoury dishes, whilst Vinoteca served its delicious Arancini and a selection of its best wines.

On New Quebec Street, butcher and grill Boxcar served up a popular summer BBQ, visitors enjoyed oysters and champagne at fishmonger La Petite Poissonnerie, and seasonal cocktails by award-winning Seymour’s Parlour of The Zetter Townhouse.

Guests of all ages were entertained with an array of activities including a children’s sports day, a creative craft workshop, vibrant face painting, hula hoop demonstrations and salsa shows. All entertainment was accompanied by live acoustic bands Cool Roamers and Wandering Band plus DJ’s, encouraging guests to dance the evening away until 10pm.

Visitors were able to take advantage of exclusive offers and promotions from a range of independent stores on New Quebec Street and Seymour Place including swim and resort-wear boutique, Paolita, who offered 15% off all collections for one night only. Eliska welcomed shoppers with a glass of PIMMS and London Grace hosted a Pop of Colour party with discounts on nail polish and treatments.

The Portman Estate thanked partners and stakeholders at a pre-event gathering at The Grazing Goat on New Quebec Street.
