Turner.Works wins planning permission to transform former department store in Ryde, Isle of Wight

Turner.Works recently secured planning permission for the transformation of the grade II former Elizabeth Pack Department Store in Ryde, Isle of Wight, into a new hub for culture, creativity and the community

The circa £1.8 million overhaul has been granted planning permission by Isle of Wight Council, with work planned to start at the end of this year. The project will deliver creative workspaces, new retail space, display and performance studios, and a new café.

Suzi Winstanley, Turner.Works Director and Project Director said, “Not only will our plans revitalise a significant heritage building but they will provide a blueprint for how former retail units can be reimagined through thoughtful design to become places that benefit the arts, culture, and local communities.”
