Thames Freeport appoints Coverdale Barclay

Coverdale Barclay has been appointed by Thames Freeport to deliver communications, engagement and PR to establish the Freeport as a major zone for economic growth and positive local impact.

Working in collaboration with expert brand agency Anatomy, who will deliver a new brand and integrated marketing strategy for the Freeport, we will engage a range of stakeholders and audiences across the B2B and B2C sectors, to raise the profile of the Freeport as a unique and innovative growth zone that enriches the lives of local people.

The Freeport is forecast to deliver a £2.6 billion annual boost in Gross Value Added (GVA) and attract £4.56 billion in private investment. It’s also anticipated to create over 21,000 net new jobs and new homes.

This week we delivered the first major announcement for the project, sharing the news that £200m of funding has been secured to build a hydrogen waste facility on the Tilbury Tax Site at ThamesFreeport. The facility is expected to cut over 50,000 tonnes of carbon emissions annually, and create around 150 jobs. We secured coverage in a range of titles across the energy, sustainability, construction and real estate sectors.
